The Wooden Box Titanic is a Chinese bootleg.
Normally, there are two types of Chinese bootlegs:
- Non-branded low level bootlegs (street vendor bootlegs)
- Branded bootlegs
Inside "Branded bootlegs", they have Limited Edition as well.
The wooden box Titanic you've mentioned is a FengHuang (in short forum: FH) brand product.
FengHuang means Phoenix. It is the most well-known branded bootlegger that specialize in upscale LE in China. They are very well-known, most DVD fans in China have heard of it.
Rumors said that the people in FH are actually from some Chinese contractors doing Limited Edition for European and American video distributors. There's once, a FH staff member announced in a Chinese bootleg forum, "A Japanese video firm contact us to make an official Japanese LE for them.."
FH's LE bootlegs are not cheap, they often expensive.
